It is with great pleasure that I make this recommendation.
This past week our student body was given the opportunity to attend an assembly presented by the Rick and Mick Association. Their program is call, “Attitude Check”, and that is exactly what my students received. This program could not have come at a better time. It is the beginning of school and their program set the mood for students to think before they act.
Our area has been hit hard by the “meth” drug culture. Many students struggle daily with not only drugs, but also alcohol and issues dealing with sex. Rick and Mick presented a program that grabbed their attention and kept it for over 90 minutes. I never thought I would see that many students not become restless during that amount of time!!
The impact on this program is astounding!! I already see a change in our student body and hope that they will return next fall for an encore.
