To Whom It May Concern:

Last week we had the Attitude Check Program, “It’s All in Your Attitude”, with Rick and Mick Vigneulle at Section High School.  It was FABULOUS program!  Not only were the students entertained by a wide range of humorous acts, but they were treated to some poignant and informative information about teen suicide, violence, drug use, and living with the right attitude. The program lasted for 90 minutes, and there was not a single moment the students were not spellbound with either laughter or tears.

We were treated to a visit by the grandparents of Cassie Bernall, who was shot and killed in Columbine High School massacre in Littleton, Colorado.  It really hit home with our students that it was not just a story on television, but was real, real people being hurt by school violence.  The program ended with a beautiful version of our National Anthem by the Attitude Check group.

As a staunch protector of instructional time and financial resources, I was concerned as to the cost and length of the program.  However, let me assure you that the students benefit far outweighed either.  I would highly recommend this program for your high school students.  It encourages them to realize that they have choices, and the choices they make will affect not only them, but their friends and family as well.
